Kiddos exists to help two homes raise their kids safe, happy, and engaged. Safety isn't a feature we added โ it's built into how the product works. This policy explains the protections, what we don't allow, and how to get help.
1. Safety is built into the data, not just the screen
- On the record. Messages are tamper-evident and cannot be edited or deleted, so the record stays fair and reliable.
- Most-protective-wins. Each parent sets their own safety preferences, and Kiddos applies the most protective setting across the family. If a protective order or no-contact is on file, direct messaging pauses automatically.
- Both parents approve. No one outside the two parents โ grandparent, teacher, tutor, caregiver, or emergency contact โ can access a child's information unless both parents approve them. Either parent can revoke access at any time.
- Adults-only rails. Children's accounts cannot access money, the parents' private thread, or adult disputes. A child is never a messenger.
- Location privacy. Precise location is hidden by default.
2. What we do not allow
Harassment, threats, intimidation, stalking, or abuse; using Kiddos to violate a court or protective order; content that sexualizes, endangers, grooms, or exploits a minor; sharing another person's private information to harm them; and any unlawful activity. Violations can result in content removal, account suspension or termination, and referral to authorities.
3. Child safety
We have zero tolerance for the sexualization, grooming, or exploitation of children. We act on credible reports and cooperate with the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and law enforcement as required by law.
4. Human review for safety-critical events
While AI helps operate Kiddos, safety-critical matters are reviewed by trained people. Reports involving threats, domestic violence, or child safety are routed to a human and are not resolved automatically. AI never advises a user to concede on a safety concern, and it will not rewrite a message that signals danger โ it surfaces help instead.
5. If you or your children are in danger
If someone is in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number). Kiddos is not an emergency or monitoring service and cannot guarantee a response time.
- U.S. domestic violence: National DV Hotline โ 1-800-799-7233 (or text START to 88788).
- U.S. mental health crisis: 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline.

6. Reporting
To report abuse, a safety concern, or a policy violation, use the in-app report option or email safety@[kiddos.app]. Provide as much detail as you safely can. We review reports and take appropriate action, which may include removing content, restricting or terminating accounts, and contacting authorities.
7. Protective orders and no-contact
If a protective or no-contact order applies, set the corresponding safety option so Kiddos can pause direct contact. Kiddos is a tool, not a substitute for a court order or law enforcement; follow the terms of any order and contact authorities if it is violated.
8. Cooperation with law enforcement
We may preserve and disclose information to respond to lawful requests, to comply with legal obligations, or to protect the safety of users or the public, as described in our Privacy Policy.
9. Limits
Kiddos reduces conflict and keeps a fair record, but it cannot prevent all harm, monitor all content in real time, or guarantee anyone's behavior. Use your own judgment and seek professional or emergency help when needed.
